Caribbean, Here We Come!!! :)

Woo Hoo!!! If I could post a picture of myself doing the happy dance I would.... Wait - that's right I don't dance, so that won't be happening! But what will be happening is that we will be venturing down to the Caribbean again this year.

We took a cruise last year on the Celebrity Galaxy last April and absolutely loved it. It was our first time on a cruise ship, and also our first time in the Caribbean, and after we finished we both said that we needed to go back as soon as possible.....

Well it looks like "as soon as possible" is going to be this December 1st-11th when we venture back down South, this time on the Norwegian Dawn on a 11 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. I am so stoked!!

We will be going to

St. Thomas (our favorite island last time)
Tortola (small island in the B.V.I.'s that's 4 miles north of Peter Island!)
St. Maarten (which had a national holiday last time we were there and everything was closed!)
San Juan (where I'm going to get to see the old fort this time!)
Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian's private island in the Bahamas)

If you have never been cruisin' I can't stress enough how fun and equally addictive it is! :) On our last cruise we met a couple that actually averages 3-4 cruises a year!

Imagine a place where you eat non-stop with some of the finest dining you have ever experienced. A place where you can choose between; playing in the casino, eating more food, sunbathing on one of the sundecks, eating more food, catching a movie, eating more food, getting a massage, relaxing in your stateroom and ordering the complimentary 24hr room service so you can.........eat more food! :)

It's so amazing - spend the day in St. Thomas, go to sleep after a night of gambling and/or dancing, and/or taking in a Broadway show, and then wake up to all new scenery as you find yourself in Tortola!

Now the most common comment that I hear when I talk about cruising to people is "Ohhhh, I could never afford that!" And you are probably right - if you are still using a travel agent to book your vacations.

Now I know that comment will probably ruffle some feathers (heck - my sister is an ex-travel agent.) Of course now she is actually traveling but that is a whole different story... :)

So in an upcoming post I am going to explain to you how with a little bit of effort you can save between 10-40% off your travel agents best price for your next vacation!

Stay tuned,

Make Money Even While I'm Not There....

Today's post is quite simple in nature yet sometimes difficult to explain. Other words that have been used to describe this phenomena are; residual, royalty, etc. Well, I have actually found a way through this little blog of mine to create some residual income:

Google Adsense

This is a nifty program that Google has created that allows me to have advertisements come up on my blog that are relevant to the content that I am posting. For example if I create a post talking about my Nokia 6620, or my 60gb ipod photo, alongside the post would be ads that are specific to those products. So I thought - what the heck - I'll give it a try!! So far, it's been working great. I'm still trying to find the best spot for these ads so they aren't to obtrusive but are still useful to myself and my readers.

As for the concept of residual income - it's what all the wealthy people in the world live off of. For example: Ray Kroc's family lives off the residual that he created by creating the industry of Franchising (through the Mcdonald's restaurant.) Mr. Kroc received a small portion of profit from each store, and he didn't even have to work in the store to receive the money.

Imagine that - doing the work once (i.e. inserting the Google Adsense into my blog) and getting paid long after the effort was made.

Cool concept eh?
